ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Easwari Engineering College (Autonomous), a part of the SRM Group of Institutions, Chennai Ramapuram, was established in the academic year 1996–1997 with a vision to provide quality technical education and foster research, innovation, and global competence. Over the past 28 years, the institution has evolved into a top-ranked NIRF institution, offering 15 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate programs across various disciplines.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the academic year 2007–08 with affiliation of Anna University, Chennai. UG Civil Engineering started with an annual intake of 60 students. PG Structural Engineering was started in 2013–14 with an intake of 18 students. Under Outcome Based Education (OBE), the curriculum has been framed through CBCS after the autonomous status from 2019–20.

DEPARTMENT VISION

To provide basic and advanced knowledge and skills among civil engineering students so as to meet the changing industrial and research needs to become the acknowledged leader in civil engineering.

The 7th International Conference on Sustainable Environment & Civil Engineering (ICSECE 2026) is a global platform that unites researchers, academicians, industry professionals, environmental engineers, policymakers, and technologists to discuss innovations for a sustainable future.
